Sessional Instructor, Health Care Assistant

Position Summary

Applications are invited from qualified individuals to instruct in the Health Care Assistant (HCA) Certificate program at North Island College (NIC).

The sessional instructional assignment, up to 95%, involves teaching the practice courses HCA 145: Practice Experience in Home Support, Assisted Living, and/or Group Home Setting and HCA 155: Practice Experience in Multi-Level and/or Complex Care to a cohort of Comox Valley HCA students using a face-to-face and online delivery method.
Note: Practicum placements will take place in a variety of practice settings and may require travel. Applicants need to have a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
