The course examines the urgent imperative for sustainability as a central driver of change in global affairs and public policy. With escalating climate, biodiversity, and inequality crises, the course explores how this imperative is reshaping international cooperation, global governance, trade, corporate strategy, urban development, and development finance. Students will develop applied policy and business skills through real-world assignments, including a final grant proposal to a multilateral environmental fund [the Global Environment Facility (GEF)].
