Set-up Technician

Position Summary:

The role is responsible to maintain and performs tooling staging and set-up in the production machine. This includes preventive maintenance of die base.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs set-up of dies and carrier tapes accurately possessing a clear understanding of the proper order of setting up a press, the priority system or new-setups and the appropriate use of tools, masks and dies.
• Ensure setup is done which includes GTR in 1 hour
• Check & feedback to tool shop for tooling's maintenance after production
• Solves basic dimensional problems, visual and camber problems and troubleshoots ably, safely and quickly reducing or eliminating unnecessary downtime.
• Maintains the press and die base ensuring continuous, on-going review of documentations and updates the COB.
• Sharpens pins and plates quickly and accurately and possesses a good understanding of electro-cam timing and closed loop heating. ...
