Shaft Engineering Foreman

A Mining House based in the Free State is seeking an experienced Mechanical Foreman (ShaftOperations) .

Duties

• Ensure compliance with all statutory, safety, and corporate governance requirements
• Supervise and manage artisans and maintenance teams within shaft operations
• Oversee breakdown response, planned maintenance, and equipment availability
• Managing tools, equipment, and vehicles to ensure necessary operational efficiency and output required in the incumbent’s area of responsibility are achieved

Qualifications

• Grade 12
• N3 Engineering Studies
• Trade Test (Fitter/ Boilermaker)
• Supervisory/ Foreman qualification

Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Shaft Foreman / Mechanical Foreman in shaft operations
• Experience in a mechanised underground mining environment is essential
