**Responsibilities**

+ Performs inspections, repairs, and replacement of aircraft structural components to include stringers, longerons, bulkheads, beams and aircraft skin according to drawings, blueprints, directives, technical manuals and safety procedures.
+ Fabricates structural parts and forming blocks.
+ Shapes metal using stretching, shrinking, and other metal forming techniques.
+ Mixes and applies fiberglass materials.
+ Makes unscheduled emergency and permanent repairs to transparent plastic windows and enclosures.
+ Uses the following: common measuring tools, precision measuring gages and alignment fixtures to perform structural repairs.
+ Mixes and applies primers and paints to aircraft surfaces.
+ Applies corrosion control treatment to aircraft metals.
