Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Shift Engineer - Second Class to join the Power Plant team at Vancouver General Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Operate, repair and maintain a high pressure (600psig+), high temperature (750 F Superheat), primary combined cycle, parallel co‑generation thermal Power Plant with currently installed capacity of 2890 boiler horsepower, as required by the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Safety Act and Regulations to produce steam and primary power; including the operations of boilers, feed water pumps, turbines, power distribution centres and related auxiliary equipment which changes as Plant operating and site strategies evolve, and currently includes:

  • 150 psig Boilers
