SHIP PROGRESSMAN (GENERAL)

Summary You will serve as a SHIP PROGRESSMAN (GENERAL) in the PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of PEARL HARBOR NAVAL SHIPYARD & IMF within the DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY. Responsibilities You will plan and schedule production work, determine work assignments and take corrective action on production delays or anticipated delays. You will review assigned Task Group Instruction, job orders, plans and specifications, and work and worker assignments. You will resolve any problems that may arise such as ambiguous aspects of the job order specifications and plans, unattainable completion dates, substitution of materials, and additional manpower. You will ensure that plans, blueprints, material, and tools are available, and that the stock needed is obtained from the supply department.
