Ship’s Store Accountant

Amentum, a global leader in advanced engineering, technical, and professional services supporting the U.S. government, allied partners, and critical infrastructure sectors, is seeking a Ship’s Store Accountant to support a unique U.S. Navy program located on the remote island of Diego Garcia.

**Job Responsibilities**

The Ship’s Store Accountant is responsible for performing accounting, financial tracking, and inventory management duties in support of Navy Ship’s Store retail and resale operations. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate financial records, monitoring cash handling procedures, reconciling sales transactions, and preparing required accounting reports in accordance with Navy policies and retail management standards.

The Ship’s Store Accountant manages inventory documentation, tracks merchandise receipts and expenditures, and ensures proper documentation for stock levels, shrinkage, and item movement. This role supports monthly, quarterly, a...
