**Job Description**
The Shop Foreman serves as a working foreman and supervisor, leading daily shop operations while actively participating in furnace and machine building activities. Approximately 70% of the role involves hands-on fabrication, assembly, and completion of vacuum furnace builds, with the remaining time focused on supervising and coordinating a team of skilled tradespeople. This position plays a key leadership role within the furnace manufacturing team, ensuring high-quality workmanship, safe operations, and efficient production.

**Responsibilities**

+ Provide hands-on leadership and supervision of the shop, overseeing daily operations and workflow.
+ Manage and coordinate day-to-day shop tasks to ensure productivity, efficiency, and adherence to production schedules.
+ Oversee and support a team of 8–10 tradespeople, including machine builders, welders/fabricators, a lead millwright, and assemblers.
