Unijobs on behalf of the School of Medicine, University of Limerick have an ongoing requirement for 'Simulated Patients' to assist in the training and evaluation of medical students. Simulated patient work is temporary & ad-hoc normally completed within a specified number of days during exam periods dotted throughout the academic calendar. The rates of pay range from €20.58 - €32.50 (per hour). What is a Simulated Patient? Simulated patients are both professional actors and members of the public with limited acting experience who have undertaken specific in-house training. The simulated patient engages in the selection, training and evaluation of medical students. A simulated patient is a person who has been trained to accurately recreate the history, personality, physical findings and emotional structure and responses of an actual patient at a given point in time.
