Simulated patient work is temporary & ad-hoc normally completed within a specified number of days during exam periods dotted throughout the academic calendar. The rates of pay range from €20.58 - €32.50 (per hour). What is a Simulated Patient? Simulated patients are both professional actors and members of the public with limited acting experience who have undertaken specific in-house training. The simulated patient engages in the selection, training and evaluation of medical students. A simulated patient is a person who has been trained to accurately recreate the history, personality, physical findings and emotional structure and responses of an actual patient at a given point in time.
