Site Engineer

JSD is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join its team. The location of the position will be in various locations nationwide depending on projects, with the head office located in Portlaoise, Co. Laois. The position will report directly to the Managing Director and/or Contracts Manager.



Primary Responsibilities of the Role:

Overseeing building work

Undertaking surveys

Setting out sites and organising facilities

Supervision

Liaising with clients, sub-contractors and other professional staff

Checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings

Providing technical advice

Skills and Qualifications

A Degree in Engineering

3-4 years’ work experience in a similar role

Self-starter with proven ability to work on his/her own initiative and the ability to work to tight deadlines

Excellent communication skills

Commercial awareness
