As a Yard Driver, you will be responsible for both straight and articulated truck operations. Essential duties include cargo tarping, vehicle inspections, and keeping detailed driver logs. Adaptability to changing work conditions is key to executing your responsibilities effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate straight or articulated trucks for transport
• Secure cargo with tarping techniques
• Perform vehicle condition inspections
• Monitor mechanical fitness of the vehicle
• Keep accurate driver logbooks and reports
Requirements:
• Class 1 or A Driver’s License essential
• Air brake (Z) Endorsement necessary
• CVOR Certificate mandatory
• Must lift up to 50 lbs
• Experience in hauling steel preferred
