ARH Essendon Fields is a 24-hour multi-disciplinary emergency and referral hospital. The hospital has specialists in Surgery, Internal Medicine and Emergency & Critical Care. Dr. Simon Kudnig, who is a fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (FANZCVSc), a Diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (Dip ACVS) and an ACVS Founding Fellow of Surgical Oncology, is the Head of the Surgery department. We see a wide range of orthopaedic, soft tissue, neurologic and oncologic surgery, including advanced surgical oncologic procedures. We are equipped with arthroscopy, digital radiography, IMEX linear and circular external fixation systems, TPLO equipment, Kyon equipment (PAUL), BioMedtrix equipment (I-Loc, THR), Ligasure, negative pressure wound therapy units, plating systems, Novetech instrumentation...
