SMP Estimator

A permanent full-time role in Villawood, NSW for a well established company specialising in the steel fabrication, installation and welding industry for over 35 years, for a SMP(steel, mechanical and piping) Estimator, Estimator or Cost estimator to provide estimation and reviewing contracts for various large project across NSW. 

• 5+ experience in the SMP Estimation industry 
• Relevant Tertiary Qualification 
• Villawood, NSW

A normal day involves

• Review project plans and specifications.
• Develop and review estimates.
• Convert enquiries into sales.
• Negotiate project agreements.
• Meet with project managers, engineers, and vendors.
• Estimate costs using specialised software.
• Negotiate rates with vendors and suppliers.
• Review and update cost estimates.
• Attend meetings with stakeholders.
• Summarize progress and prepare for the next day
