SMT Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain SMT manufacturing processes
• Set up, program, and debug SMT equipment (solder paste printer, pick-and-place, reflow oven, AOI, SPI)
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and production ramp-up
• Analyze SMT defects (tombstoning, bridging, solder balls, insufficient solder, misalignment, etc.) and implement corrective actions
• Optimize stencil design, solder paste selection, and reflow profiles
• Monitor production yield, efficiency, and defect trends; drive continuous improvement
• Create and maintain SMT process documentation, work instructions, and SOPs
• Work closely with production, quality, and equipment teams
• Support root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
• Ensure SMT processes comply with IPC standards and internal quality requirements
