Job Description
The Department of Sociology at Wilfrid Laurier University (Waterloo campus) invites applications for a Tenure-Track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. We seek applicants with expertise in the Sociology of Work and Professions, with the ability to teach sociological theory. The position will begin July 1, 2026, subject to budgetary approval.
Anticipated Salary Range: $90K to $110K. Actual salary to be commensurate with experience.
The Department of Sociology is one of the largest departments in the Faculty of Arts at Laurier and is characterized by research and teaching strengths in the areas of equity and social justice. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain and advance a research program in the sociology of work and professions.
