Our Opportunity

Work Location: Solomon - Pilbara, Western Australia.  Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.

Roster:  8D6R, 8D6R, 7N7R - FIFO ex Perth

At Fortescue we are in the process of transforming our energy assets to achieve our climate change targets of zero emissions by 2030.

The Solomon Power Station is comprised of 14 x medium speed gas reciprocating gensets from Bergen Engines, 2x GE LM6000PF Gas Turbine Engines and 4 x Solar Titan 130 dual fuel Gas Turbine Engines for a total generation capacity of 281MW and their associated balance of plant. The Kangi Village standby Power Station is comprised of 6 x KTA50 Cummins powered generators for a total of 6MW of standby generation.
