Sonographer

The Sonographer is responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures during medical missions. The role involves operating ultrasound equipment, capturing high-quality images, assisting physicians in diagnosis, and ensuring patient comfort and safety in a temporary or outreach clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations (e.g., abdominal, OB-GYN, pelvic, soft tissue, or other required scans).
• Operate and maintain portable ultrasound equipment.
• Prepare patients for procedures and explain the process clearly.
• Ensure proper patient positioning to obtain accurate images.
• Review and evaluate images for clarity and diagnostic quality.
• Assist physicians in interpreting ultrasound findings.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of equipment after use.
