Job Description
As second-in-command, the Kitchen Sous Chef has a large amount of responsibility in the kitchen. The Kitchen Sous Chef is responsible for planning and directing food in the kitchen, ensuring the quality of the food, and developing the academic contents for the workshop. Takes on the Head Chef's responsibilities in case of absences. Controls daily production and ensures the quality of food meets the school's standards. Organizes the production and the meal plan with the Head Chef. Always researches to improve the student experience in the workshop. Organizes purchase orders and deliveries when needed. Ensures all activities in the kitchen - including kitchen stewarding - reflect the students' Moodle course description and meet the workshop learning outcomes. Controls the cleanliness of the kitchen according to the weekly cleaning plan.
