Overview
Design, review, and improve individualized education programs (IEPs) to meet the needs of students. Ensure that teaching plans align with current best practices, educational standards, and the unique needs of students with disabilities. Develop and implement school-wide policies, curricula, and activities that promote inclusivity. Mentor and support special needs educators, therapists, and teaching assistants. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback. Facilitate professional development opportunities, including workshops, seminars, and certifications. Assist teachers in addressing challenging behaviors or modifying lesson plans. Guide teachers in implementing behavior intervention plans (BIPs). Assist in managing challenging behaviors, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students and staff. Respond promptly to emergencies and maintain clear protocols for crises.
