Specialist Support Engineer

Our client, a leading player in the industrial and manufacturing sector, is looking for a Specialist Support Engineer to take full ownership of their virtualisation, storage and backup environment within a highly regulated, safety critical operation.
This is a senior, hands on infrastructure role within a mature enterprise MIS environment, reporting to the MIS Operations Manager, and suited to someone who enjoys deep technical ownership and operational accountability.

Enterprise VMware virtual infrastructure
Veeam Backup and Replication
Windows Server platforms
IBM storage, tape and fibre environments
Server hardware and third party vendor management
Operational readiness including on call and shift support
Essential experience and credentials
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or equivalent
MCSE and MCITP Enterprise Administrator
VMware Certified Professional VCP
Veeam Certified Backup Specialist
