This post would be ideally suited for a doctor, who has a minimum of 4 years experience in psychiatry and is interested working in a specialty doctor position in psychiatry outside of a Training position. Mental Health Liaison is an integral part of the 24/7 Urgent Care Model and the Trust is seeking for an enthusiastic Specialty Doctor in Psychiatry to cover both General Adult and Old Age referrals for Southport and Formby District General Hospital (SDGH) A&E Department and wards.

The post holder will provide medical input for both General Adult (GA) & Old Age (OA) Mental Health Liaison Team. They will be available to support and supervise other staff in the assessment and formulation of service users' difficulties and will be directly involved with the assessment of people referred with complex difficulties or prominent risk issues.
