GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB
Under limited supervision, provides professional services to screen, identify, evaluate, treat and rehabilitate students with
communication disorders. Reports to the Principals of assigned schools.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
 Serves as a resource to school staff members in the development of a balanced program for oral communication and
speech improvement.
 Screens and identifies students with communication disorders. Provides a thorough assessment and diagnosis of
speech, voice, hearing and language impairments.
