Speech and Language Pathologist

POSITION SUMMARY

The Registered Speech and Language Pathologist position is suited for a compassionate, creative, innovative problem‑solver who works comfortably with both culture‑based and western services. As part of the FASD Multidisciplinary Team, the Speech and Language Pathologist will be a front‑line position with the primary responsibility to conduct language assessment for FASD according to evidence‑based best practice standards, primarily with a pediatric population aged 18 years and younger, and with adults as needed.

The successful candidate will be involved in a wide range of speech and language services with a focus on supporting children and families to improve their child’s developmental trajectory including assessment, report writing, the development of integrative recommendations and strategies in collaboration with the FASD Multidisciplinary Team and the child’s key stakeholders, brief intervention, referral to local resources and ongoing suppor...
