Sr. Accountant

Description We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team based in Reston, Virginia. Being a part of our construction contractor industry, you'll play a crucial role in handling the full cycle of accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of commercial properties.

Responsibilities:
• Execute account reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to maintain the accuracy of financial records.
• Manage and update the general ledger regularly.
• Prepare journal entries and ensure they are accurately recorded in the financial system.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting.
• Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately captured.
• Operate property management software such as Yardi and MRI for efficient accounting processes.
