Sr. Biodiversity Officer

About the role

The Sr. Biodiversity Officer is responsible for delivering biodiversity monitoring activities independently and reliably at the project site. The role focuses on taking end-to-end responsibility for defined field data collection outputs, consistently following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and escalating exceptions or unfamiliar risks to support biodiversity reporting. The officer is responsible for the quality of their own deliverables, applying judgment to variations within known frameworks. While job duties entail a variety of flora and fauna surveys, the successful candidate will have a strong background in botany/plant taxonomy and willingness to become an expert in animal identification as well.
