Sr. Engineer - Operational & Workplace Safety (Edmonton)

Key Responsibilities

Establish, implement and verify safe work practices for high‑risk work activities such as work at heights, confined space entry, LOTO, hotwork etc. Manage and own electronic PermitToWork system (ePTW) Analyze data to identify recurring risk trends, weak controls, gaps, and drive corrective & preventive actions, translating learning into safety promotion and campaigns Maintain and own GFS License Management System (LMS) including critical licenses and permits Develop, implement and maintain Contractor Safety Management Program to ensure compliance with GFSEHSS requirements Prepare, plan and conduct mandatory EHSS briefing, training for contractors onboarding Plan and execute targeted safety promotion programs and campaigns aligned with best practices, incident learnings, high‑risk activities, safety suggestion and feedback Promote near miss and hazard reporting and continuous safety improvement Serve as the Secretary to the SCM, ensuring meetings are conduc...
