Job Description

The YMCA of Greater Long Beach is a $43M organization with 900 employees including 340 benefits eligible. The Los Altos Family YMCA serves Long Beach, Seal Beach, and Los Alamitos. The branch is going through a capital campaign to expand and renovate the current facility. The project is expected to break ground in early 2027. Current facility includes a pool, strength training center, outdoor strength patio, fitness studios, airnasium, and child-watch area—supporting inclusive, full-spectrum programming for all ages. It operates aquatics, childcare, enrichment programs for schools, day camp, sports and healthy living programs. The current annual operating budget is $4.2M with an annual campaign of $320,000. The Los Altos Family YMCA has on average 110 staff and up to 160 for the summer, with 5 full-time exempt staff.
