Sr. Manager, Accounting & IT

SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director, Finance, IT & People Engagement, the Sr. Manager, Accounting & Information Technology (IT) is responsible for managing

1. the accounting team and its day-to-day activities to ensure the maintenance of accurate, complete and up-to-date accounting records.
2. the IT team consisting of a Network Administrator and Manager, Business Systems Analysis & Support to ensure performance of technology systems meet the organization's IT requirements and database applications support its business processes and knowledge management.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Leads and manages the day-to-day accounting activities, processes and procedures, and month/year-end closing processes that contribute towards the preparation of complete, accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with funder contracts, Catalyste+ policies and Canadian GAAP for not-for-profit organizations.
