ResponsibilitiesPreparing Domestic documents including Airline bills, Motor Carrier BOL, declarations and NAFTA forms.Routing Shipments – Determining appropriate mode of transportation for all domestic/Canadian shipments.Evaluates appropriate cost/time combination for each shipment.Rate Negotiation – Negotiates best rates with motor carrier, freight forwarders and express couriers for all domestic shipments (e.g. UPS, DHL & FedEx).
These negotiations include both ground and air shipments.Brokerage Assistance – Works very closely and on a regular basis with the broker's firm shipments coming into the United States.Sales Support – Provides assistance for.Freight Bill Auditing – Verifies accuracy of domestic freight bills and disputes any.Freight Quotes – Responsible for securing weight and dimensions of all quotes requested by the sales staff and obtaining the most economical freight rate from motor carrier, freight forwarders and express couriers.Investigating client problems and...
