SR PCB LAYOUT DESIGNER

Responsibilities

• Provide PCB design support to various functional groups globally, e.g., R&D, Test development.
• Review and analyze design schematics to plan layout of PCB components including dense multilayer boards.
• Layout various types of high-speed optical communications boards, e.g., Module transceiver, transponder, and test boards according to corporate design guidelines.
• Utilize CADCAM tools to assist in design process from Schematic entry to Gerber post processing. Software used: Mentor PADS Layout, PADS Logic and Router, Blueprint, CAM350 and Footprint Expert.
• Communicate with Hardware Design Engineer locally or from other RND sites globally (design reviews) during design process to ensure the designs fulfill the technical requirements.
• Perform PCB peer review on layout done by co-worker according to corporate standard checklist.
