Sr. Program Buyer

Mission of the RoleThe Pursuit Program Buyer is responsible for managing interface between program and suppliers, anticipating the specific requirements for programs on Pursuit phase (supplier technologies, geographical location, and target costs), ensuring the commodity panel strategy is appropriate to support the program, and pilot suppliers from the agreed supplier panel in order to achieve Program targets.Key Objectives of this RoleMaximize profits for new business via a properly costed BOM and use to-be-gain expertise to challenge design assumptions as seen on other projects to help bring costs down.Deliver optimized costed BOM's from a pricing and business improvements over the year (Year over Year savings) to help drive Visteon's profitability and Material margin.Challenge, whenever possible and as experience is gained, design items on the BOM that might be too safe (Driving high costs) or propose alternative items with a better cost.Be able to explain the costs entered on th...
