ST3+ Doctor - Acute Medicine (Fixed Term)

Acute Medicine in Hereford is at the forefront of improving the patient experience and journey through the hospital. Acute Medicine is responsible for the Acute Medical Unit (a 24‑beded inpatient unit), Same Day Emergency Care and the acute on‑call service. The recently opened Acute Medicine virtual ward represents further recent investment and innovation led by the acute medical team. The Acute Medicine team work within the broader acute floor and works closely with the Emergency medical team and the broader unplanned care service across the county.

The Acute Medical service is well supported by Hospital at Home (providing outpatient intravenous therapy), a GP pathway for DVT, Clinical Nurse Specialists in Cardiology, Respiratory, Stroke, Diabetes, Oncology and Gastroenterology.
