Staff Accountant

**Job Summary**

The Property Staff Accountant assists in the day-to-day maintenance of Property Accounting related to general ledger accounts by using accounting software and Microsoft Excel. This accounting position will provide exposure to a wide range of departments and financial processes, ultimately supporting a higher-level accountant in the duties outlined below. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of accounting concepts, guidelines, principles, and practices, to be able to apply GAAP to oil and gas Accounting.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

+ A/R and A/P Activities
+ Expense Allocations
+ Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) Analysis
+ Fixed Assets – Accounting & Reconciliation
+ Monthly Accrual Processes
+ Trains with co-workers on other aspects of Property Accounting: Non-Producing Leaseholds, Work-In-Progress (WIP), Producing Properties, Depreciation concepts and Lease Accounting.
