Staff Accountant (Santander)

Allied Steel Buildings, Inc. is seeking a qualified Staff Accountant to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• Conduct monthly reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy.
• Resolve discrepancies and irregularities found during the reconciliation process.
• Sales Tax Compliance
• Review monthly sales data for compliance with state and local sales tax
• Liaise with external tax filers to provide required information and ensure timely filing of sales tax returns.
• Fixed Asset Depreciation Reporting
• Maintain a fixed asset register and calculate depreciation for all assets.
• Ensure accurate tracking of additions, disposals, and transfers of assets.
• Bank and Credit Card Reconciliations
• Perform daily reconciliation of bank and credit card transactions to the general ledger.
• Investigate and correct any discrepancies or unusual transactions.
