Job Description

Do you love building scalable backend systems that power real-world products? We’re looking for a Backend Engineer to join our team at Ahoy and help us design secure, reliable, and high-performance platforms. 
What you’ll do Build and maintain production-ready backend services 
Design APIs and ensure system scalability & performance 
Work with Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, Cognito, etc.) 
Collaborate with product, design, and cross‑functional teams 
Ensure quality through TDD, CI/CD, and clean architecture 
What we’re looking for 4+ years of backend development (Node.js/TypeScript) 
Strong experience with AWS and microservices 
Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases, REST/GraphQL APIs 
Passion for clean, maintainable, and secure code 
Startup or fast-paced environment experience is a plus
