Job Description
Assesses patients' nutritional needs through medical histories, laboratory results, and comprehensive nutrition evaluations.
Interprets physician diet orders and collaborates with the healthcare team to develop appropriate meal plans.
Plans menus and standardized recipes based on patient classifications, ensuring balanced, high-quality meals.
Supervises food preparation and meal delivery to ensure compliance with dietary guidelines and patient needs.
Coordinates meal substitutions and communicates dietary requirements to food service staff and Diet Aides.
Educates patients and families on proper nutrition, special diets, and healthy eating practices.
Monitors patient progress, updates nutrition plans, maintains documentation, and supports quality improvement initiatives.
