Staff Engineer, Mechanical Design (18-Month Contract)

ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement automation solutions for new automated production equipment, including customized fixtures and tooling.Develop equipment specifications and deploy automated equipment aligned to the site's automation roadmap (mechanization, data automation, and digital shop‐floor tools).
Monitor existing automated processes and implement improvements to increase capacity, reduce scrap/reject rates, and enhance line safety using data‐driven methods.Execute equipment and process validations and document results through technical protocols and formal reports.Perform failure analyses on automated production equipment (e.g., fault tree analysis, failure mode and effects analysis) and drive corrective actions to restore and improve performance.Create and maintain operating procedures, standard work, and visual work instructions for automated equipment and process changes.Train production teams on new automation and updates to existing equipment, and advance‐train m...
