Staff Materials Engineer

**What you will do**

+ you will lead design control activities, materials engineering and risk management processes throughout the product life cycle and will have significant interaction with PD, Regulatory and Operations.
+ You will support the currently marketed product by analyzing materials and manufacturing processes and make recommendations for improvement; internal specification reviews and updates to align with the latest industry standards.
+ You will contribute to large scale continuous improvement and cost savings projects tied to multiple product lines in Stryker's portfolio.
+ You will focus on not only design improvements from the materials perspective, but also material processing changes (i.e. heat treatment, passivation, welding, etc.)
+ You will work cross functionally to drive our company’s mission and strengthen the Stryker brand.
