TE’s Industrial and Commercial Transportation Solutions’ Molding Mfg and Process Development Engineers are responsible for developing and industrializing molding tools for new and existing products.

Responsibilities

• Understand product and quality requirements and develop appropriate mold tooling and molding processes in collaboration with external vendors to scale production with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate with Product Engineering and Product Management in developing the next generation products by conducting early DFM to ensure manufacturing feasibility and scalability.
• Utilize engineering tools such as Mold Flow to suggest product design changes for DFM.
• Estimate tooling cost, manufacturability cost drivers (cycle time, cavitation, scrap, material...
