Staff Nurse - Ward D1 Gastroenterology

Job Summary

Seeking Nurses with NMC registration only, with experience in Gastroenterology Nursing only. The role is on Ward D1 (part of a multidisciplinary team) and is 28 hours per week.

SNHSFT supports growth and development, including funding degree or master level modules related to Gastroenterology.

Ward D1 is a 25‑bedded acute unit that works as a team to deliver high‑standard care.

Main Duties

• Work within the NMC code of conduct.


• Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team.


• Provide excellent written documentation.


• Support patients with care delivery.


• Care for NGs, PEGs and PICC lines.


• Venepuncture and cannulation (training available).


• Supervise and support healthcare assistants.


• Care for acutely unwell patients.


• Participate in further education and learning.
