Staff Silicon Design Engineer, IC CAD

THE ROLE:
AMD is seeking a capable and motivated IC CAD engineer who has a deep understanding in both analog and digital design flows. The candidate will be responsible for trailblazing new tools and flow requirements, qualifying flow accuracy and support users across the silicon design team.
THE PERSON:

• Solid knowledge of industry standard tools and practices for both analog and digital design methodologies.
• Strong working knowledge of Cadence Virtuoso platforms.
• Proficient in physical design, STA, methodology scripts (Tcl), knowledge on Perl, Python.
• Quality-oriented mindset with strong and effective communication skills and team spirit.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and support new flow features around industry standard EDA tools and tools capabilities.
• Conduct evaluations of tool quality, tune the flow to get optimal results from existing tools and support design flows.
