Main job function A good track record specialising in the marketing of hardwearing and high strength structural steel merchant plates as well as the normal carbon steels (S355 JR-AR). Must have a thorough knowledge of the above-mentioned steel types and their respective applications. Have some experience in the cut to size market. An advantage if the candidate has an existing client base. Be able to quote the respective materials. Experienced with demonstrated sales results. Self-Disciplined – Is on the road 90% of the time. Maintain a professional company image at all times. Identify opportunities to improve sales performance. Monitor market conditions in relation to competitors. Build strong and successful relationships with clients. Qualifications Grade 12 Criteria At least 5-10 years experience in selling hardwearing steel merchant plates Great persuasive and negotiation skills. Good interpersonal and presentation skills.
