Sterile Processing Technologist

Licensures/ Certifications:Active CRCST license required. Current American Heart Association’s BLS/CPR certification card on hire.Job Summary:Responsible for the general operation and activities of Sterile Processing and Supply department under the supervision of the Surgical Services Director. Knowledgeable in the operation of sterile processing equipment ( washers, autoclaves devices).Knowledgeable about surgical instrumentation and power equipment.Assembles and sterilizes instruments and procedural trays for outlying offices. Verify and accurately document missing instruments according to stand operating procedures.Ensures that each instrument is in good working order prior to placing in tray for use and if any problems do arise reports this information to their supervisor. Cleans instruments to prepare them for sterilization. Records sterilizer test results.
