A steward assists in keeping a restaurant, bar, or lounge clean and sanitary, assists in cleaning dishes and tends to customers' needs. The steward may also perform basic administrative tasks, such as answering phones, taking reservations, and giving out basic information.
Qualifications/Requirements
1 Cleaning & Sanitation: Washing dishes, pots, pans, utensils; cleaning floors, walls, ovens, grills; sanitizing food prep areas.
Equipment Maintenance: Operating dishwashers, ensuring all tools are clean, stored correctly, and in good working order.
Waste Management: Proper disposal of trash and recyclables.
Support: Assisting chefs with prep (chopping, blending), restocking stations, bringing equipment, and clearing/resetting dining tables.
