Stock Controller

Purpose: The purpose of this job is to manage the day-to-day maintenance of stock levels within the inventory parameters on the stock system and monitor the merchandising and housekeeping standards of stock on shelves in such a way that stock discrepancies are reduced in order to minimize losses. This includes managing the flow of stock from the receiving department in the respective departments in the store, ensuring that products are unpacked correctly and making sure that accurate stock records are maintained at all times. In addition, this includes ensuring that stocks correspond with stock on hand that's recorded on the stock system used and investigating issues that arise in such a manner it ensures the continuous availability of stock.
