Strategic Sourcing Buyer

What you will do
As a part of JCI's Indirect Procurement organization, you will function as a procurement business partner, interfacing directly with one or more business units to ensure category strategies, programs and corporate initiatives are effectively and efficiently deployed.
You will also identify cost savings and trade working capital improvement opportunities and create/drive project plans in manufacturing plants, distribution centers and corporate offices in North America.
How you will do it:
Be a true business partner for the assigned business unit(s).
Understand procurement's role and how this enables true business success.
Understand business priorities and key stakeholder expectations, translate these requirements, and ensure corporate category strategies reflect these needs.
Be a spokesperson for the indirect procurement organization.
Understand where, how and when indirect procurement can deliver value to the business.
