Job Description

 
  JOB SUMMARY 
 Responsible for providing all costs, lead time, and capital expenditures related to quotes.
  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 
 Identify suppliers and internal resources appropriate for each quote request
 Solicit supplier quotations for new and existing items
 Determine the total lead time needed from receipt of order to customer delivery
 Perform cost and lead time analysis to meet customer expectations
 Coordinate all customer bids with Sourcing to ensure proper execution
 Research new sources of supply if required
 Effectively communicate and review quoting threshold data with upper management
 Work effectively with Sourcing and Buyer/Planners to collaborate on Approved Supplier Lists (ASL’s) and supplier development
 Assist as needed with creation of new item numbers, Bills of Material (BOM’s), and production routers
