Strathcona County Legislative Officer Role (Edmonton)

Overview

Enhance transparent municipal governance as a Legislative Officer at Strathcona County. This role offers the opportunity to coordinate vital Council processes and support democratic practices. Reporting to the Manager of the Municipal Clerk’s Office, you will be responsible for managing Council meeting agendas and facilitating Public Hearings.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend and support Council and Committee meetings
• Mentor staff on Council Report Writing and procedures
• Manage and coordinate the annual Council meeting calendar
• Protect confidentiality of closed session records
• Provide information regarding meeting procedures

Requirements

• Specialized training in Office Administration
• At least 9 years of administrative experience
