Structural Welder

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Structural Welder for a contract opportunity in Sturgeon Bay, WI. This position is 100% onsite. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): • Be able to pass ABS test in FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding) • Weld test is a flux core test using .052 wire vertical and horizontal. • Must have 4 years' experience with Stick/Flux/MIG welding. Knowledge of materials and methods involved in construction. • Basic blueprint reading • All welders need to have their basic hand tools - Shield, wire brush, chipping, pea grinder, wrenches, screwdriver, etc. • A self-starter who can work with minimal supervision • Must have the ability to lift, push and pull up to 50lbs POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.
